ABOUT ME
Mark Tumber studied visual arts at York University (North York, Ontario, Canada) for five years. He has taught both the studio and historical facets
of art with the Scarborough Board of Education. Currently, as a private art instructor, Mark is able to continue his own artistic
pursuits and illustrate on a freelance basis. To view more pencil artwork of a similar style, visit the site of a current student of Mark's at Brown, Black and White.
His pencil drawings display photorealistic interpretations of people, places, and wildlife. The artwork demonstrates
Mark's eye for detail when portraying subtleties in grey scale and texture. Both personalized commissions and prints
are among private collections in North America and Europe. Corporate work has included architectural designs, logos, and book illustrations.
Various gallery and artisan exhibits in Ontario have been an outlet for both Mark's contemporary art (conceptual nudes and editorials) and his historical
portrayals of Georgian Bay/Muskoka heritage sites.
Mark's work can also be viewed at his studio, located at R.R.#1, Port Severn, Ontario.
